Professional Experience: Ted began his career in 1974, as a loan officer with the Federal Land Bank Association of Tyler, a financial cooperative that originated loans for the Farm Credit Bank of Texas, in the Palestine Office. He was promoted to President and CEO in 1985, and served in that capacity until October 2005. In 2005, Ted retired from Heritage Land Bank to become President and CEO of the Bank of Tyler, a division of Huntington State Bank, and served on its board of directors. Ted retired again in June of 2011, to work with his son in the family farm operations, JV Cattle Co., LLC. After one year, he reduced his active participation in the day to day operations and became a realtor.
Education: Ted holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Education and a Master's degree in General Agriculture, both from Texas A&M - Commerce. He is a graduate of Southwest School of Banking at SMU.

Personal Information: Ted has two sons: Kyle (deceased) and Hal, and five grandchildren. He was born in San Antonio and is a 5th generation Texan. He is co-owner of a ranch in South Texas which was recognized in 1993 by the Texas Family Land Heritage Program for being owned and in continuous agricultural operation by the same family for over 100 years (1883).
